Looking at this Head of Obalufon from Ile-Ife, Nigeria,  one will agree that for africans to be able to produce works as beautiful and intricate pre or post 15th century ago is great.

ABOUT THE CHILDREN ARTS GARDEN FESTIVAL (CAGAFEST)2014
The First Children Arts Garden Festival is a FREE Children event organized by the Inumidun Arts and Culture.
In order to celebrate Nigerian children, arts and cultural diversity and creating joy amongst Nigerian  children, Inumidun  Arts and Culture (a Non-profit organization) will present its 
1ST  Annual Nigerian Children Arts Garden Festival in 2014.


The theme for this year Festival is:
Nigeria: Joyous Children, Brighter Future

The festival features Arts, Music and Dance performances to showcase and celebrate arts positive cultural impact on our children.
All genres of Nigerian Arts, including: performing arts, visual arts, handicrafts, and language arts will be on display, performed and or demonstrated for the purpose of introducing, transferring of skills and enjoying the variety art forms available in Nigeria.
Activities include an art display, painting,  a parade of giant puppets, performances by local school children, professional storyteller shows, musical acts and dancing, face painting, puppets, printmaking and storytelling.

This event is hosted by Inumidun Arts and Culture, a non-profit organization that is dedicated to the promotion and appreciation of Nigerian and African’s diverse arts and culture through the performance and exhibition of African Arts.

“Inumidun” means “My heart gladdens” or “I am joyful” in Yoruba Language of Western Nigeria.




We expect the attendance to this event to be about 2,000 School children in Ikorodu and its environ and about 500 guests, artists and performers.  We are excited about the potential of this festival to all students, guests and participants.

Permit me to welcome you to the official blog site for Inumidun Arts And Culture. This is a not-for-profit organization established to promoting Nigerians/Africans arts and culture.
This organisation will try to contribute her own quota to the development of arts and culture, especially with our young ones. Your regular visit to this blog will guarantee regular updates on our activities.
Meanwhile, we have a project that is on-going right now. It is our annual Children Arts Garden Festival  (CAGAFEST2014).
